Our deepest condolences from all the Doyles in Spain. Edward to me was one of those uncles who always had a trick up his sleeve, and a story to tell. With it. Incredibly knowledgeable on every topic. I remember him very well in my younger years as a child. Rest in peace.
Dear Maureen
So sad to hear of Ed’s passing. We go back a long way, indeed I was with him on the greatest weekend of his life when he met you in Dingle . Never stuck for a good song or a lively argument over a civilized pint.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and Luke and Aoife as you mourn your great loss.

I would just like to express my deepest condolences to Ed's family and friends and to express my own very great sadness at his loss. I worked with Ed in the DTTAS and fondly remember him and many a friendly but often quite challenging discussion at union meetings or over a few pints. He was one of a kind and I'll miss him
Deepest sympathy to Ed's family and friends on his sad loss. David and he wrangled back in the eighties in the AO branch of the PSEU, Mary worked with him in D/TEC in the 90s, David and Mary both worked with him in the AHCPS over many years and he was Ciaran's boss in D/Transport during the exciting period of getting agreement on preclearance. A great singer, he was a well read, well infomed man who enjoyed a good argument, and most of all he had an exceptionally strong publc service ethos that underpinned all his work.

I worked with him in the Department of Transport. I was going through old AHCPS files recently from the 2000s and it is very clear how Ed persevered on behalf of the union members over many years. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
