Edward O'Grady

Sad news about Edward. R.I.P. Condolences, prayers, thoughts to Edward’s family: Kay, children and grandchildren and all who knew him at home and around the world: I recall fond memories of Edward - charming teenager, at Kilfrush, Staunton Lodge and Kileens, handsome show pony rider of many victorious championships. Needless to say Edward’s talent as racehorse trainer are worthy of all tributes of Edward ‘sporting legend’. The requiem mass encapsulated faith, music and Edward’s kindness, gregariousness and loyalty. Kay’s rendition of Rudyard Kipling’s ‘IF’ was beautiful as too Mimi & Rosy May’s prose in poetry. Johnathan’s contribution and reminiscences of personalities as Majorie Manseragh, Reddy Carroll and many friends of hunting and pony days and extended family was everything of tears and joy. Rest in Peace Edward.

Edward was a fantastic trainer and he was long ahead of his time , he was kind courteous and very respectful to all his staff. I never once heard Edward raise his voice to anyone , always dealt with a situation in a diplomatic way, Edward will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him , Rest In Eternal Peace Edward 🙏

So very sorry for your loss, Mimi and Rosie. All of my happiest days were spent with the dashing Edward and the beautiful Maria, and of course you two, on the hunting field. I have never stopped thinking of and missing your mother. I like to think that she and your father are now, perhaps, having a "good spin" with Frank up above, and waiting for us all. RIP Edward. You will never be forgotten.

Sincere sympathy to the family on your loss. Eddie was kind,gregarious and very loyal. Unknown to many he was an accomplished front row forward on the winning Blackrock College JCT 1964 along with his great friend my brother Bill.
His attendance in Bray at my brothers funeral being quite a distance from Tipp showed his great empathy,compassion and thoughtfulness. May the Almighty and his Angels welcome Eddie into Paradise
