Edward (Ted) Leizcyneski

Our deepest condolence to Anne Marie and all of Ted's family on the sad occasion of his untimely death. It was a great shock to all or us at our musical get-together at Millstreet Gramophone Circle. We paid tribute to his great musical talent when Paddy Murphy played as his first choice a song of Ted's, namely Star of Millstreet Town at our meeting last Friday night. We remembered how closely he used to always follow the music by tapping he hand or foot and even where he usually sat and his many knowledgeable comments on what was being played.
May you Rest in Peace, Ted, and enjoy the music of the Heavenly Choirs.

I'm deeply saddened at the sad loss of my dear friend Ted. I want to send sincerest condolences to his daughter Ann-Marie, husband James and Ted's Grand children; Olivia and Killian who I know Ted adored. I also want to send condolences to the Kenmare connection;- Margaret's sister Marian and brother Con and their families as well as the Lucey Family in Cork. Ted and I go back a long way to Mid-1981 when my first employer Benson Engineering was based in Tralee and I thought Ted was the boss when I went for my very first interview there. We laughed this off many times since. Ted was always kind and understanding with amazing empathy for those less fortunate than himself. When ever I visited him at home he was a wonderful host often referring to his departed, darling wife Margaret who he missed dearly. He loved animals especially his donkeys who he looked after so well. What an amazing composer of the written word and verse, which was so often put to song, and one no better than the wonderful song composed by Ted and sang wonderfully by Noel Hartnett, 'The Cross at Reighnagown. We stayed in regular contact and of course we'd have our hour long phone calls to each other over Christmas. May your kind and gentle soul rest in peace now, and forever in Heaven, reunited with your dear Margaret.
