I don't have to tell people who knew Hen that everyone loved him, he was a outright Legend, when I spoke about him to strangers, I said "he has it all"... his quick wit, decency, intelligence and genuinely caring, generous nature was part of his great charisma, an aul skin who would share his last penny with anyone in need, which he often did without a thought.
When he turned up on our doorstep on Portland Row for a cuppa after his rambles we knew he was going to brighten up our day, he never failed to bring a smile to us.
So rest easy my aul mate,there is only One Hen.
