Effie Armitage

Very sorry to hear about the passing of Effie. She was a friend of our family for so many years. She made many trips up to Lisburn to see Mum and Dad and Desmond. Sympathy to all her family circle and friends.

Very sad to hear of Effies raising to Glory and a higher plane. I knew her years ago while in Bewleys and both she and my uncle George were in Gurteen together on it's very first year, probably around 1949/50 She is now at peace with the Heavenly Hosts

So saddened to hear of Effy’s passing. Our sincere condolences to all of Effy’s family. Effy was a real friend to me and the girls in Killeen Twirlers over the years. Effy would often come into hall when we were training and was a real supporter telling us what she thought of our routines. She used to phone to see how the competitions went never wanting to wait until our next training session. We have missed her around but still talk of her visits. Rest in peace Effy you were a true lady xxxxx
