I played with Eileen in her latter years in Botanic Bridge Club, Glasnevin and also online when she was in Maryborough Nursing Home. Sincere sympathy to you all on the death of dear Eileen. I came to know Eileen though the game of bridge & we became friends. Eileen was a great bridge player & got many a 'top' from me!
During Covid, Eileen, armed with her laptop & her IPad, learned how to play online bridge & how to play in online tournaments. Needless to say, she was soon back winning many competitions. This new technology held no fears to Eileen & I might add, she learned all this when she was already in her 90's!
An inspirational woman & always a pleasure to be around.
