To Deirdre, Coleman, Eileen and Francis, I just heard of your sad loss. My sincerest sympathies to you all. Eileen was our next door neighbour in Kinvara Ave. I remember her with great fondness. She was always glamorous and she was a great woman for going out. I never heard her say a bad word about anyone, she was always so kind and positive.
The family are really sorry that we missed her funeral. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.

I am still grateful to “Eileen mummy” for how she welcomed me when I was 15 in her home, teaching me about tea time, mesmerizing me with her beautiful dresses with colors and flowers, and her smile and happiness. I was sorry to hear of the passing of Eileen. She was my mothers best friend when they grew up together around Oxmantown Road and remained so over the years. I have fond memories of her when she used to call into our family home on the evenings when Frank was playing in town. Always full of laughter and glamour. My sincere condolence to all the Carroll family. May she rest in peace.

My deepest sympathies Deirdre, Eileen, Colman and Francis on the loss of your dear Mam and my Aunt Eileen. She always had a smile or a song and you were blessed to have her for so long.

I have fond childhood memories of her and Uncle Frank, seeing him play in the orchestra at the Gaiety, our family trips to the Maureen Potter shows and bringing us on stage after. No doubt the theatrical fun and laughter remained in the Newham households and on special occasions and celebrations, their skilled wit and character could be heard from the other side of the room. Many is a time I cried uncontrollably, not from sadness but from pure laughter listening to Eileen and her brothers Paul and Maurice. Thanks for the happy memories Aunt Eileen, the curtain may have come down but I hope her legacy continues whether its through dance, song, style or simply a smile.

So sorry to hear this news. A lovely glamorous woman - the Belle of Kinvara Avenue. My mother knew her as Eileen Newham, growing up around Oxmantown Road and going to dances in the Garda Depot. So sorry to hear such sad news about Aunty Eileen .I have such fond memories of staying with her and Uncle Frank in Kinvara Ave,I used to visit them as a child with my parents Eddie and May. I last saw her in 2019 and she was as full of life then as she always was. Thoughts and prayers to all her family at this very sad time.
