Eileen CROFTON
(née Manning)

We knew Eileen mainly from seeing her in the church. Yes, she was a very well known presence there and throughout Saggart. We'd chat sometimes after Sunday Mass, beside the Legion of Mary stall in the porch. The memories noted here ring so true -- the gentle manner, the warm smile. We'll remember her with thanks and think of her now as gone to join all our dear departed.

Dear Frances, Kay, Bernie, Amanda, the Crofton and Manning families. I am so sorry to hear the sad news of
Mrs.Crofton’s passing. She was truly a lovely lady. I have many very happy memories of days as a child and teenager spend in No. 11 and many visits to the Manning home in Castleknock. Eileen always treated me like one of the family.
I don’t think I ever saw her in a bad mood. Even my eldest son Joe remembers being in her house when he was younger. Eileen had time for everyone and always made people feel welcome, always had time to stop and chat whenever she saw you. My deepest condolences and sympathies go out to you all. Such a great loss to everyone who knew her. A kind lady and a wonderful neighbour. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. May Eileen rest peacefully in the arms of the angels.
