I was very sorry to hear about the passing of your lovely Mam. I never had her as a teacher but always remembered her minding are class now n again . Your Mam had the most beautiful smile that would light up any room . Always had a friendly hello for who ever she met. Thinking of you Paula Cathy Louisa and family at this very sad time. I have very fond memories of school in first class with Mrs Cumiskey, she was a wonderful, kind teacher and was always cheerful and happy. I remember the sunny days she would march us out to do our reading in the field and send two of us to the beanstalk to buy icepops for the class. Very sad to hear this lady passed away.
I remember her so well from my time in primary school she was always lovely ,always smiling & gave me as a child a feeling of warmth & safety .
I never had her as a teacher but she often had our class & ,she was always involved with all the schools students in st Eithne's & St Monica's She was available to all & always a safe place in the sometimes mayhem of school . She was a strong presence in my schooldays & memories of primary school .
She guided & was inspirational to many of us & she no doubt was that & more to her family .
I met her over years in past & she always had her beautiful voice ,smile & grace & warmth just as when I first met her aged 5 .
She was a natural teacher & wonderful example to each and every one of the students who knew her .
Such a huge loss but what a legacy she has left behind in her work as an educator & in her family .
May her beautiful soul RIP ❤️

I have such fond memories of Eileen from when I attended St Monica’s as a pupil and also subsequently when I became a teacher in St Eithne’s. She always radiated such kindness and compassion. I am sorry to be missing her funeral tomorrow but I will be thinking of Eileen and all her loved ones.

Very sorry to hear of Mrs. Cumiskey's passing, and deepest condolences to all the family. I was lucky enough to have her as a teacher for my first three years at St. Monica's and I still have such fond memories as she instilled my love of learning from an early age. I often bumped into her in Donaghmede shopping centre in recent years and it was always such a pleasure to catch up with her.
