I was deeply saddened and shocked when I heard about the sudden passing of Eileen. The last time we spoke was only a few months ago. I had Eileen as a Lecturer and Tutor when I attended College in Tralee as a Student Nurse.
She was a wonderful person, always encouraging and supportive of all her students. She took great interest in everyone she taught and kept in contact with me and as well so many of her former students over the years.
Eileen enriched the lives of everyone she met for the better, I feel so lucky to have known her.
My deepest sympathies and condolences to Pat and all the Finn family.

I am so sad to hear of Eileen's passing. I enjoyed her company on the Camino walk in Spain where her spirit of wonder and appreciation for nature and the love she had for Pat and her large family was evident in all our conversations. Solas na bhFlathais Di. I

It was with shock and great sadness that I learned of the sudden and untimely passing of Eileen. I only got to know her in the last year or two when she joined The Spa Tidy Village Group where she was an active, willing and enthusiastic member. I spent a lovely morning with Eileen on the 3rd of December helping the school students to plant bulbs in the Village and when they start to bloom, I will remember her fondly. I was in awe of her connection and genuine interest in the children but I didn't know until after Eileen's death of her huge achievements and how she managed to pack so much into her life. She was so humble but her passion were her family whom she spoke about constantly with such love and pride. Eileen was an inspiration of how to truly live life as she had an interest and made time for everyone. She was a remarkable lady and I only wish I had known her for longer. My deepest sympathy to her beloved husband Pat, her children, grandchildren and her sister Sheila. May she now reap the rewards of her good deeds and may you be comforted by your memories and the knowledge that you were so loved. Rest in peace Eileen.
