There are no words. We reconnected just before Xmas 2025 after 30yrs. I was so looking forward to meeting you for a coffee in 2026 and to chat about our past. I'm shocked and saddened by your loss Eileen. Condolences to the family you left behind and especially your husband. I am heart broken to hear of Eileens passing. All four of us met on honeymoon 41 years ago. We had such a lovely time with you both. We kept in touch all those years. Eileen would light up a room and the loveliest person to be with. Paddy I am so very sorry you lost your soulmate. From a Jack to a King she will be waiting for a dance in heaven. My first encounter with Eileen was canvassing her home during an 1980's general election. As only Eileen could she opened the door and blasted me out of it "all politicans are the same, useless", complaining there were no jobs in Longford etc. Thankfully her much better half ! Paddy arrived before things got out of hand, Calling her bluff I told her there was a job waiting for her in C&D if she wished to attend the following Monday. They both laughed at the apparent joke but 30years later she was one of our greatest and her, I and Paddy the greatest of friends,,,So sad for your loss Paddy, you guys were inseparable,,, your divilment will be sadly missed Eileen, RIP.

We were so shocked and saddened to hear of lovely Eileen’s passing. Eileen made us feel welcome and part of the community when we first moved to Ferefad and always had a big smile and a wave for us. Sincere sympathies to Paddy, and all the Keeley, and Egan families on the unexpected passing of Eileen. I am very sorry for your loss. Eileen was a great character, and a wonderful friend to my mother in ' Salts' factory, Tullamore. Mammy would often reminisce and tell us hilarious stories of all the craic they had working with, and socialising with Eileen. Although Eileen and Paddy moved to Longford, they always kept in touch. We received Christmas cards every year, and only two weeks ago I received a lovely birthday message. Thank you for your kindness always Eileen. May you rest in eternal peace.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Eileen. We first met in 1976 working in 'Salts' factory, Tullamore. I was very fond of Eileen.
