My sympathies to the Lennon family on the loss of Eileen.

I am really sorry to have missed an opportunity to say goodbye to Eileen. I am in Brussels so could not come back. I knew Eileen and family for 45 years. We lived opposite on Bunting Road. What makes it remarkable is that my mother, May Davis only died in May. They spoke for the last time about a week before. They were really close friends and relied on each other for so long. Eileen was so vibrant and full of life even though she had been dealt more than her fair share of cruel blows over the years. It is that vibrance that makes it hard to believe that she is gone. And now when I go back to Bunting Road it will be an entirely empty place. That makes me sad but they really loved spending time with each other talking about their families. And it was always clear that Eileen's family had a special bond with her and loved her very much. I hope they can think of those things at this time while obviously knowing that the world is a lesser place without Eileen. Very best wishes from Jim, Robert, Gary and the extended Davis family
