Sorry to hear of Eileen’s passing. We spent many happy hours with Eileen and Greg in years gone by. She was an absolute lady.
Sincerest sympathy to Eileen's family and friends. We knew Eileen through her energetic and devoted work in South Dublin An Taisce. Regularly rounding us up for heritage bus tours or inviting us to the fantastic lectures at The Goat, she worked tirelessly for the local association as well as the Education Unit. She will be remembered well for her huge contribution at both local and national level. Rest in Peace Eileen.
Rebecca Jeffares and the Dun Laoghaire Association of An Taisce
I only heard of Eileen's passing just now. My condolences to her family and friends. Eileen will be a huge loss to An Taisce. Her tireless work for the cause was always so well-run and thoughtfully planned. I always looked forward to meeting her at these events. Her spirited, direct and generous, kind nature will be missed by us all.

Eileen will be so sadly missed from An Taisce. She was always so friendly and welcomed us to every meeting with a smile. As for the talks and outings which she so thoughtfully and skilfully organised - we looked forward to them and they were always so interesting and informative. No one could hold a candle to her. She was brilliant and we are so sorry to hear of her death. May she rest in peace after a full life well lived.
Sincere sympathy to Eileen's family and to all the Collins family.
Many happy memories of times spent with Greg and Eileen down through the many years.
May she rest in peace
My heartfelt condolences to all Eileens family and friends. She was a great neighbour, we met as she was sneaking food to the local foxes and bonded over a love of the local wildlife. Quick witted and kind. She will be missed on the road.
May her gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Happy memories of a long friendship .Eileen always remembered your birthday and sent a card .We will miss her .R.I.P
Deepest sympathy to all of Eileen’s many friends and extended family on her sad passing. I got to know Eileen through her late husband Greg, when I taught with him in Sandford Park School in the late 1970s. Eileen was a wonderful advocate for An Taisce and had a wide range of cultural interests. She was always, like Greg, a witty, colourful and stylish raconteur and will be greatly missed by all her friends. Rest in Peace.
Deepest sympathy to Rosemary Jim Kearney Niall Chanel Breen, and their families on the death
of their cousin Eileen.I have lovely fond memories of Eileen when she would visit Ardee and call to
her late Aunt Maisie shop where i worked many years ago.May Eileen gentle soul Rest in Peace.
Sincere condolence to the family and friends of Eileen on her passing. In her work for An Taisce
Eileen organised many meetings sand lectures which were held here in The Goat.
All the staff were very fond of Eileen, in particular Johnny and Michelle with whom she mostly dealt with.
Eileen's hard work, diligence,,and attention to detail ensured that everything was perfect on the night.
Eileen will be sadly missed by.all.
Requiescat in Pace Eileen.
I am grateful to Eileen on many counts, not least her warning me to get a growth on my ear checked out immediately: it turned out to be early melanoma, so in a real sense I owe to her the fact that I am still alive. This was typical of her style which was forthright, and her substance, which was always to have the best interests of all around her to the fore. Her late husband Greg was our son Niall’s favourite teacher in Sandford Park school – a formidable pair whose life and work added so much to so many.

Sincere condolences to all of Eileen's family and friends. May her gentle soul Rest in Peace.
Deepest sympathy to Collins Hume & Kearney family on passing of Eileen from all her cousins in Nobber. May she rest in peace.
Heartfelt condolences to all of Eileen's family and friends. She always expressed an interest in environmental current affairs and tried to encourage others to do likewise. Her efforts for the South Dublin branch of An Taisce were tenaceous whether reminding one of forthcoming meetings or rounding up members for curated trips. Eileen always had time to chat to everyone and make them feel at home. She will be missed.
I extend our deepest sympathy to Eileen's family on behalf of An Taisce's members and staff. She was a stalwart member of the South Dublin local association, the committee of the Education Unit and the An Taisce Council and made huge contributions at all levels. Our veteran heritage officer, Ian Lumley, puts it very well - 'Eileen had that motivation which links An Taisce members through the generations - a love of place and a desire to treasure what is special and precious.'
Sincere condolence to all of Eileen's family and also to her very many friends who will miss her wonderful independent spirit and loyal friendship. I and her friends in the Education Unit of An Taisce will remember her long commitment to its work and her unfailing support of its staff. She was a unique individual. May she rest in peace.
Deepest sympathy to all of Eileens relatives and friends. May her gentle soul Rest in Peace.
Deepest sympathy to Rosemary,Jim Kearney, Niall Chanel Breen and their families on the death of their dear cousin Eileen. May she rest in peace.
