Eileen McGOVERN
(née Patten)

Eileen had a wonderful personality and loved life. She was an exceptional conversationalist and I enjoyed her company very much, both as children and adults. She was a cousin and we loved when she and her sisters came to visit. Later, we had many meet-ups in NY and, finally, our last one in August at the hospice. Even there, Eileen was very cheerful and entertained us for a couple of hours. I felt privileged to have that last visit with her.
My sincere condolences to Iggy, Eoin, Neesa and all her relations and friends. We will miss her very much.

Eileen was such great company, witty, intelligent with endless good humour and a wonderful attitude to life. I have treasured memories of times past with Catherine, Eileen, Neesa and Margo with the link to St. Joseph’s Secondary School, Castlebar - the Patten sisters were a special group of girls.
