My condolences to the family on Eileen's death. My mother (Pearl, nee Cadden) and Eileen worked together in the upstairs office of McCaldin's in their young days, and were great friends then. For a birthday over 60 years ago, Eileen gave me a book, a compilation of Irish prose and poetry. I still have it and dip into it frequently. It introduced me to the world of literature and good writing for which I have Eileen to be grateful for. I also have some photos of Eileen and my mother taken over 75 years ago which I treasure. May she rest in peace.
