My sincere sympathy to Danno, Nora and all Eileen's relatives and friends on her death R.I.P. Eileen was one of the "old stock" in Bishop Street with O'Keeffe's "Eating House" supplying lunchtime dinners to the ravenous secondary students of another Bishop Street establishment, Jim Breen's St.Ita's Secondary School, and to the more civilised adult workers. The latter cohort included the legendary Jackie "Coogan" O'Connor who was effectively one of the O'Keeffe family. Jackie operated from his nearby Saw Mill (located behind the Courthouse.)
Eileen's parents and her brother, Pa, are interred in Churchtown Cemetery close to my O'Mahony grandparents and relatives. Go ndéana Dia trócaire ar iad go léir.
