Eileen was a wonderful person, so entertaining, always good humoured with a calm demanour. She had a host of Cork sayings to make you smile.
Eileen was one of my dearest and closest friends. I regarded Eileen as a 'nearly' cousin because of our shared first cousin.

I will deeply miss Eileen but know she is happy now with her dear Jim.

The shock of Eileen’s sudden departure must be still very painful for you all today in the Mulcahy Meagher family, as it must be for Eileen’s friends over the years and around the world.

I confess that was my own case when my brother Brendan sent me the sad news. In my haste to send you my condolences, I wrote about our wonderful unforgettable friendship, interrupted only by my reluctant departure from Cobh, I mistakenly wrote February 1992 instead of 1962💦
A huge difference indeed.
But the heartfelt happy memories stay intact and precious.
