It was very special to be able to feel part of the funeral for Eileen online. I have so many warm memories as a child, spending every school summer holiday at my granny’s (Devine) in Summerhill. My mum Mary was very close to Eileen and Joe. They were great friends and neighbours to my granny. Every day I would hang out in their back garden, waiting patiently, sometimes for hours, in the hope of kicking a ball with Gary and each time he came home from school, then college and then work, he would always play football with me. I remember Eileen as such a warm and kind person. I would always visit the shop to see Mary and Noel and I never left without a wide variety of freebies! Eileen’s funeral was something very special and Michael’s eulogy was very moving. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
