Dear Mary, Michael and Johanna, I was so very sad to hear only today of the passing of your beautiful mother Eileen. I have lovely memories of her during my holidays at Carney & Co in Kiltimagh, my mother Josephine would always have her hair done whilst getting all the chat and the cup of tea. I remember Eileen as a kind, strong, independent woman, sincere condolences on her loss.

Eileen always had time for personal interaction and friendship.
She loved meeting people and her good humour and personality reflected the fact that anyone that encountered Eileen always felt that she was a personal friend.

I will always treasure beautiful memories shared in her company since I was a child, especially when I took both her and my late mum Florence(my to Portugal in 2000. They enjoyed that week so much, as did I and often spoke of it years later, with a laugh and a smile.

It was my privilege knowing Eileen, sharing time with her on those last few visits in her lovely home. She will be deeply missed by me and by all my sisters. A true and wise lady.
