Sincere Condolence to All the Family.

Heartfelt condolences to all of Eileen’s family. I just today found out from my good friend Aoife Macken originally from Rosmuc that Eileen had passed away. I had the pleasure of having Eileen as my Bean an Tí back in 1980! She had just started out being Bean an Tí I believe that year. We had a connection immediately on my first day when we realised that she had attended a local home economics/ sewing small college in my local area of Coolarne in Turloughmore. Every year Eileen sent me a Christmas card that I was so thankful to receive. I visited on a few occasions to her and Joe in Rosmuc with my husband Billy whom I sadly lost on May 1st. She always had such a warm welcome for me despite the fact that I would just show up at her door to say hi!
I was just thinking this past few weeks that this Christmas I would be sending her a card informing her of my husbands passing and now I find out today that she herself has passed. My heart is broken for Joe and her boys! Though I know you’ve all grown up and moved on. How proud she was the last time I visited showing me all the photos of her boys weddings.. you boys gave her such joy!
I hope Joe is doing ok … I will remember you all in my prayers this month as we remember all of our dead. She was a wonderful soul who was so kind and nice to us when we were staying with her that summer so long ago … rest in peace Eileen x
