So sorry not to be able to attend Eileen’s funeral.

I have some lovely memories with Eileen: hearing stories from her past including cycling round Dublin and travelling to Thailand. We’ve enjoyed trips to Howth, shopping and lots of chatting.

I’ve been astounded by her bravery in recent years. May she now have rest and peace, free from pain.

Although I didn't get to see Eileen very often, I still vividly remember coming to Ireland as a child and staying at Eileen's house where I first saw Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I still remember the warmth that Eileen gave off to me.

To Eileen's family. I visited Eileen regularly for the past few years every Tuesday. I admired her so much. She was a strong intelligent articulate woman who knew her own mind and faught to the bitter end for what she wanted, in spite of serious disabilities. Even when she went blind and was hard of hearing I could communicate with her and discuss my hoidays etc. I'm glad that she passed away at home. May she rest in peace.
