Eimear Forde

I worked with Eimear in the Exams Office at NUIG and we spent many happy Friday nights out together. Eimear was such fun to be with. She always loved her cake and tea after a meal "Tea WITH the cake, not after" was the common request. I remember her getting her hair blow dried straight on a Friday evening and then insisting on wearing a bonnet afterwards so the moisture wouldn't mess up the hair. Despite everyone's laughter! My sympathies to all her family and friends. She will be sorely missed.

Sincere sympathies to Eimears parents on the passing of Eimear and to Aida Meabh and Liam on the loss of your beautiful mother, she loved you all so much. She was a such a lovely kind, interesting and witty person, a good friend who I will miss dearly. I have lovely memories of times with Eimear, Friday evenings out after work in the University, we’d have great chats and fun. Such a beautiful person who was dealt a hard blow in life and was taken way too soon. Rest in peace Eimear.

It was with huge sadness that I read of Eimear's passing. I taught beautiful Eimear for five years in St.Brigid's College. She was a gorgeous person and a fabulous student. I send my sincere sympathy to her parents, her children and their dad. She is an angel in Heaven and she will look after you all.

Dave, what can I say. I know the immense work and pressure it takes to care for a loved one in your home. You handled that challenge with compassion and dignity for so long while rearing the kids and holding down a full time job. Working 18 hour days while on call at night is no easy feat. Eimear and you both raised those beautiful Children, Aida, Maebh & Liam to be the amazing young people they are today. Kathleen and John-Joe, you also shared the care for your lovely daughter in her final time here. I am so sorry for the pain you are feeling. Aida, Maebh and Liam, please take comfort that Mom loved you beyond words and that she is always with you in your hearts. Love to you and all of Eimear's extended family. 💔
