Deepest sympathies to all the Doyle family. Many happy memories of Eithne.
I am so very sorry to hear of Eithne’s death. We were very good friends many years ago - we worked together in the HSE and stayed friends for many many years. Eithne was alway a great person in a discussion - brought her own views to things. She was good fun, very gentle and very good company, and I would think that she bore her illness very stoically. May here gentle soul Rest in Peace.
To George and all the Doyle family I send my sincere condolences on Eithne's passing. She was a very dear friend and we had some great times as we shared a love of books, clothes, food and the occasional glass of wine. Eithne lived life with passion, compassion, good humour and style. She was an elegant lady with an abundance of creative talent. A founding member of our reading group which still thrives today thanks to the solid building blocks laid by Eithne and her positive input over many years. Her generosity of spirit and her gentle ways will be missed by all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace. With deepest sympathy. Marianna and Andy

Deepest condolences to George and all the Doyle family on the passing of Eithne. May she rest in peace.
Farewell Eithne,
So many memories. Some of the highlights:
Sipping champagne at St Pancras Station, London.
'Wasted Days and Wasted Nights' in Chesham
Shivering in Oxford in May.
The chatty letters originally handwritten and then typed as age intruded.
Your inimitable style and flair for accessories.
Afternoon tea at The Shelbourne with 3 children under 6.
Running your finger over the tops of frames to check for dust in my home! Who will ever do that again?
The satin slip you gave me as a 10th birthday present.
Wynn's Hotel as your pre bus rendezvous.
The name you called me that no- one else used.
Your raised hand in greeting across a crowded room.
Sleep well Eithne. We will remember you.
