Our parents Andy & Nano talked often about their very dear friends Alan & Eithne- Dad & Alan were school mates and Alan was best man at our parents' wedding. Mum & Eithne became firm friends too and I know that this friendship was important to them both, in their latter years as widows.

May you all be sustained by many happy memories of your, lovely, elegant, artistic mum.

We have many happy memories of long, sunny Summers in Poulshone, and thanks to the enduring friendship between Eithne and Alan, and my own parents Pat and Terry, we met again in Poulshone many years later, this time with our own children. The end of a long friendship. I will miss Eithne.

I will miss my 'Auntie' Eithne but I'm glad she's now at peace. Always so elegantly dressed and a talented artist. She gave me a lovely painting as a wedding gift. I won't be there in person on Saturday as I'm away but will be there in spirit. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
