Mrs.Murray was one of the kindest teachers I have had the good fortune to have had the experience of.
She was so passionate about music and instilled that passion in her students through her enthusiasm and dedication.
She wanted only the best for all of us and willingly gave her all for us.
I have no doubt in saying that I'm one of many students whose life was influenced positively, by having Mrs Murray as a teacher. Thank you for the music Mrs.Murray.

I have great memories of my music classes with her as a student and later as a work colleague, hearing the beautiful music coming down the main corridor of the school. May Eithne rest in peace.

So saddened to hear this news. Condolences to the Murray family on the loss of their beloved Eithne. Privileged to have had Mrs Murray as both a muisc & piano teacher, who instilled within me a great love & appreciation of all genre's of music. Still remember her true corkonian lyrical tones when it was visible no piano practice was done. Wonderful foresight when she staged the schools first operetta Lilac Time, creating life long memories and forging great friendship bonds between students and teachers alike.

Mrs Murray was my first live introduction to a person with a Cork accent ! Her accent got stronger, the more excited she became in Music lessons, as she conveyed knowledge and enthusiasm for classical music. Never a dull lesson whatever your musical ability. I was a student in the 1980s. I remember her very unofficial presence (ignored by examiner) during the aural music exam for Inter Cert where her humming and lively mannerisms were trying to trigger our memories for the answers. I met her a few years ago arm in arm with her sister or friend walking through Golden Island Shopping centre still with zest for life and conversation. Rest in Peace Mrs Murray and thanks for the memories.

She taught us to read and write music and develop an ear for the classics. Her love for the arts and Cork was a constant and I am privileged to have been taught by her.
