Mark, Margaret, Ruth and Neil. I have only just heard that your mother Eithne has passed away. I am very sorry. She was a great neighbour to me over all the years we lived on the avenue. I have fond memories of her coming with us as we sang carols and she went door to door with the bucket! She never missed a Sunday collecting out side mass for the VDP. I will forever be grateful to her self and Brrndan who drove to Connemara to rescue us when Donal broke his leg and I didnt know how to drive. Please accept my condolences and be assured that I will remember you all in my prayers.

To: Eithne’s extended Family.

We are all so saddened to hear of Eithne’s passing. She was a wonderful friend to our late Mother Ebeth Egan.

When our Dad died at an early age, Eithne’s support and friendship never faltered. She was with her every step of the way.

Later, when our Mum was confined to a nursing home, Eithne hardly missed a day without visiting her.

She was the most loyal and wonderful friend anyone could wish for, and we all loved her dearly .

How lovely that she will now be reunited with her beloved husband Brendan.

In life we sometimes come across a rarity, and Eithne was one such person.

May God forever hold her in the palm of his hand, as she deserves no less.

It is with great sadness that we learned today of the passing of Eithne, mum to Neil and Noelle and cherished grandmother to Jack and Kate, of whom she was so proud.
We were aware of Eithne's most recent challenges however we knew also that she enjoyed the best of love and care from a wide circle of close friends, neighbours and family whose devotion saw her every need as a priority ahead of their own. We are thinking of you all and offering our prayers for your intentions at this sad time.
