Was so saddened to hear of Elaine’s passing and deepest condolences to her family. She was a kind, warm person who always brought positivity with her. Even though I only worked with her for a short time, she made a real impact. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. Rest in peace, Elaine.

Elaine will be so sadly missed by us. Elaine was such a caring, fun, intelligent person. The bravest person I ever met.

My Dad died four months ago, and while Elaine and her family were going through such a difficult time Elaine and her family were thinking of me and my family at that time, and sent such a beautiful message and gift. Something I will never forget. It was just one example of how wonderful Elaine lived her life.

For the time I knew Elaine, her wife Elaine and their daughter Evie they have shown such care and love for one another always. They can be so proud of each other.

I first met Elaine in DCU nearly 20 years ago and I was slightly in awe of her. She was so articulate, knowledgeable, and considerate and I was delighted to be placed on a working group with her. I can’t describe the belly-aching laughs we shared as a group while working on that project together. She is one of the reasons I look back on that time so fondly.
I was even more delighted when I moved jobs I discovered she was in my Department. She was always so generous with her time and knowledge and I loved her perspective. Invariably, our calls and meet-ups would descend into giggles and laughter.
I will miss her and I feel very privileged to have known her. My thoughts are with her wife and her darling daughter.

Such sad news to hear. Great memories of Elaine in DOJ and i worked closely with her on the 2004 EU Presidency. Elaine was so capable but also up for a bit of craic, always a lady and my thoughts and prayers are with her nearest and dearest. God bless

Elaine gave me the gift of music, the blessing of which has shaped my entire life to date - personally, professionally and socially. I’ll be forever in her debt.

We sat at the piano together every Saturday morning for 7 years and I remember us both sharing a tear on our last lesson in Elm Mount.

If life is about gentleness, creativity and sowing seeds in others, Elaine can rest easy knowing that her legacy is living on in every note that myself and all her other former students play on the piano.
