We came to know her through her visits to the restaurant, where she quickly became a regular. Every member of our staff had the pleasure of looking after her, and she always brightened our days with her kind presence and warm, radiant smile.

I am very saddened to hear of Elaine’s passing. I met Elaine when I was working in her local shop Fresh in Belarmine a few years ago. We had a lovely friendship and I loved hearing her many stories of her life and her family and many friends. We would always talk about Kerry as I have family near where Elaine grew up and would often be down there. She used to bring me chocolates every time she came to the shop and her smile and kindness always brightened up my day. My deepest sympathies to her sister and family, thinking of you all at this time.

Elaine and I shared a flat when we first arrived in Dublin from Kerry all those years ago, so many happy memories of those days of fun and joy - Slán abhaile Elaine.
