ELAINE SHORTEN

I was so saddened to hear of Elaine's passing recently.
I worked with Elaine many years ago in St .Luke's Home, Military Hill.
Elaine was the lovliest person and we had great days (and nights!) together, she would always put you in good form - My deepest sympathies to her Daughter Katya, sisters Barbara and Margaret and Mother .

So saddened to hear of Elaines passing. Very fond memories of working with her in Clonakilty community hospital. A loving, kind, caring and compassionate nurse. RIP

I was so very sad to hear of Elaines passing. She was one of the most caring nurses I’ve ever worked with in Clonakilty Hospital,the residents and staff loved her. My deepest sympathies to her family.

What a wonderful privilege it was to have encountered Elaine. Everything she did, she did with such grace. A truly beautiful soul. Her love of Katya and the joy of meeting them will stay with me for a long time. Shine on Elaine.

We enjoyed getting to know Elaine during our visits to Ireland, and we were especially grateful to meet and visit with Elaine and Katja when they visited Margaret's family in Minnesota. Our hearts are with the family as they treasure their memories.

Heartbroken to hear of Elaine's passing. My heartfelt condolences and support to all Elaine's family and to Katya who I very much enjoyed meeting. Elaine's kindness, gentleness, generosity and compassion were a shining example of everything a nurse should be. She was so kind and supportive to me as a student HCA and taught me so much at MCH where all of the residents were the better for meeting her. A little star. Elaine was a shining example to us all of how to be kind, thoughtful and considerate. Her love and care of Katya and the relationship they had together was very special.
