Eleanor Lanigan

I had dealings with Ellie as a client of Goodbody during the 1990s. It's decades since we last met, but her kindness, warmth and sheer sense of fun remain vivid in my memory. She will be sorely missed by all who were privileged to know her. My sincere condolences on your great loss to Justin, Sean, DJ and the extended family.

We were so sad to learn the news of Ellie’s passing. She was a wonderful colleague, friend and human being. A true one off who brought energy and humour to every encounter, we will greatly miss her sense of seriousness equalled only by her love of fun. Our hearts go out to Justin, Sean and DJ to whom she was so devoted.

Deepest sympathy to Ellie' s family on their immense loss. Ellie brought such humour, sincerity and brilliant insight to the many conversations we had in Leinster House. Her unwavering support for Cuba was so inspiring as was her deep love for Justin and her beloved boys. It was a privilege to know her. She will be greatly missed

I was so sad to hear of the passing of Eleanor. I knew Eleanor from my time in boarding-school. She was a friendly, fun loving and open person who was always willing to help. We connected from time to time over the years and I had sincere fondness & admiration for her.
My thoughts are with Justin, Sean, DJ, Richard and Kate at this extremely sad time. Gone too soon.

I was so very very sorry to hear the sad news. I got to know Eleanor during my Dail days - a force of nature, feisty, formidable, great company and such a voice and supporter for Cuba and real socialism. Will be missed.

Ellie was like a big sister to me in my twenties, always there for chats and honest advice in the haven that was her basement apartment on Lesson street and then Shelbourne rd. Memories abound of her warmth, fun and generosity to me and so many of Kate’s friends that will never be forgotten. You will be so missed Ellie, safe travels.
