It was with great sadness we learned of Eleanor’s death. Our deepest condolences to Grainne and Cillian and all her family.

We remember the great times spent with herself and Norbert both here in Ireland and in St Georges.

We were so very sorry to hear about Eleanor’s death. Our condolences to Grainne,Cillian and all the family.
Loved the great treats in the staff room,delicious cakes and bakes.
She was always so enthusiastic about all her undertakings and there were many.

It was a privilege to care for Eleanor over the past two years, and we will always remember her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit. She was a truly special person, and we hope you find comfort in the cherished memories you shared together.

Though she is no longer with us, her presence will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Most especially, her memory will shine through in her two wonderful children, who are a true reflection of the love and kindness she embodied.

I was so sorry to hear of Eleanor’s passing , but I’m sure there will be a great reunion with Norbert , may her gentle soul now rest in peace , condolences to her daughter and son and all the extended family . Catherine and I used to have some lovely chats with them over coffee in the Bay hotel , we talk about them often 🙏

Eleanor and Norbert were a lovely couple and will be sadly missed by many. Eleanor was a much loved and much valued member of the church choir in Avoca and sang with us for a number of years, and we miss her beautiful voice every Sunday.
We also miss our outings with Eleanor and Norbert to Avoca Handweavers for coffee every Sunday after mass.

Gráinne and Cillian, our sympathies on the passing of Eleanor.

Your Mum always gave us a great welcome to France.
One very summer lovely treat for us was the invitation to bake - when she’d bake with the girls to give Ben and me a chance to go out for lunch. Always a lovely gesture.
She always sent the girls gorgeous cards and gifts for the their birthdays’.

She is at peace now.

I only knew Eleanor and Norbert for a relatively short time but I really enjoyed the conversations in the Bay. So sorry to hear that Eleanor has died. She was a true lady. Sincere condolences to all her family. May she rest in peace.

Our sincere condolences to Grainne and Killian and the extended families on the death of our dear friend, Eleanor. Hostess par excellence and great company, wonderful with small children, she never forgot a birthday. We have happy memories of loads of outings in France in the summer where she was a regular choirister in the church in St. George de Didonne and hosting coffee mornings after mass. We will miss her cheerful banter and pithy observations.

So sorry to hear about Eleanor. She was such a lady and a beautiful person. At least she will be back with Norbert now.

We ate so sorry for your loss. Your mom was such a smart, fun and elegant woman, we know she brought warmth and joy to everyone around her. Her legacy of grace will live on in all the lives she touched. Our hearts goes out to you and your family during this incredibly difficult time.

Wonderful times in France over the years with Eleanor and Norbert. Great dinner parties hosted by Eleanor, an amazing chef. She always welcomed our families and in particular our grandchildren to France. We had great outings, discovering new restaurants and fun.

Lovely memories of Eleanor and Norbert sitting in the Bay Hotel for their morning coffee and their chats. A very united couple, Norbert was so attentive to Eleanor in her last few months. They were a gorgeous couple. May they be reunited now in peace.
