Sincere condolences to Betty's family & friends on your recent sad loss.
I had the pleasure of knowing Betty through her work as a psychologist, when our school had the benefit of her knowledge & advice over a number of years. Her warm & caring nature put children at ease & parents appreciated her professional advice given with great sensitivity & empathy.
Betty has left a legacy of helping others - may she rest in peace.

To Betty's Loving Family,
It is with great sadness that I learned of Betty's passing only today. I am so sorry not to have been able to offer my condolences in person to those who knew her the best and cherished her the most. Betty spoke so fondly of all her family and I know she will be sadly missed by you all. Betty came to our school to carry out Educational Assessments for our pupils for a number of years and I was amazed by her depth of knowledge, her practical and robust attitude to life and her capacity for kindness and compassion. Betty was a good friend to me personally and I cherish the wisdom she shared with me at difficult times. Betty was an inspiring woman of substance, true to herself and to those around her, spirited and well informed. As an advocate for the disadvantaged Betty could always put things into perspective and her sense of justice filtered through every conversation. I already miss her visits to our school and am so sad that she has passed away. I learned a great deal from Betty and am a better person for having known her. On behalf of the staff, Board of Management, pupils and parents of St Mary's Junior School, Blessington, I offer our sincerest sympathies to her family and close friends. Ar dheis Dé a hanam dilís.

Sr Betty broke the mould In her day. While keeping her faith she'd dispensed with the veil and rode her honda fifty in the mid 70's around Rathmines.. An enlightened teacher who guided us towards our future career paths as one of the first career teachers in Ireland. May she rest in peace.
RIP beautiful Sr Betty, as we knew her in 70s …
I have always thought about her snd how she helped me as a teenager…

Looking back I now know that Sr Betty was a beacon of powerful positive energy with a feminist glint in her eye. She stood out in her jeans and cheese clothe shirt during school trips in the nineteen seventies. A bright light in an often difficult time for many pupils. RIP

So very sorry to hear of Betty’s passing. I am a past student of hers from At. Louis High school in Rathmines. She was an amazing woman and Teacher, she loved all her students and advocated for them on a daily basis. For me personally she fought for my dislexia diagnosis and made sure I had the supports I needed in place especially with having a later diagnosis. Without her dedication and care I wouldn’t of gone to college and have the life I have to day.

I was most fortunate to avail of her vast experience, guidance, wisdom and support when she served on the Board of Management, Blakestown Community School. Most remarkable was her genuine empathy with all the students, staff, parents and wider school community. It was my privilege and pleasure to have known and worked with Betty.

On behalf of myself, the staff and all the students of Francis Street School, sincere condolences to Betty's family and Fr. Myles. I met Betty 15 years ago, when she worked as a psychologist in my school and we became great friends during that time. Betty was one of the kindest most loving people I have ever met. She taught me all about unconditional love, was always there to lend a listening ear and believed in the power of education to change the lives of others. I will never forget her wise words to me, the situations she support me in and her strong, feminist beliefs. She gave great gifts to the teachers and students of Francis Street for many many years and for that we will be forever grateful. I will miss her terribly. Rest in Peace dear Betty.
