Since moving into #13 almost 14 years ago we have exchanged Christmas cards with Betty over the years. We also have derived great pleasure for looking out at the birds that come to take a drink in our garden from the lovely bird table that Betty had & the beautiful roses thst Betty had planted & still bloom each year. Mary met Betty on their first day of school, as they sat at the same desk, and found they lived 3 doors apart.They were fast friends throughout their school years and for many years since.
