Dear William, sincere condolences on the recent passing of your dear aunt Betty, a wonderful woman. Apart from meeting her with family in Tolerton, I also knew her in her professional capacity ,while I working as a Visiting Teacher to her school. She created such a homely atmosphere in the school, loved by pupils, staff and parents alike. Ní bheidh a léithéad arís ann. Mind yourself.
Sincere sympathy to William and all Betty's relatives.
We taught together in St. Brigid's Senior Girls School - Fadó.
Occasionally, Betty had her parents' car and she was most obliging with her lifts to town after school!
Later she moved to OLV parish where I often met her and of course we met at I.N.T.O. Meetings until I retired back home.
Leaba i measc na naomh go raibh agat Betty agus ceol na naingeal go gcloise tú.

Sincere sympathy to William and all who mourn Betty. May she rest in the peace of Heaven after a life well-lived as an educator and friend to many. I knew Betty from my days in St. Bridget’s Boys’ and laterally as a Bridge player in the Teachers’ Club. She was always great to chat with and had a lively sense of humour….she will be missed. I regret I am unable to attend Betty’s funeral.

We had the pleasure of getting to know Betty when she retired. Betty and her friend Moira joined our gardening classes. They were always so helpful and supportive to everyone.
Betty's coffee cakes were famous back then, she would bake them if someone in the group was organising a fundraiser.
An amazing lady ! May she now rest in peace.

Sincere condolences William on the loss of your Aunt Betty. I had the privilege of teaching with Betty in St Brigid’s for many years. She was a wonderful colleague and was a great mentor to me as a young teacher. As a principal she was much respected by staff and pupils. Her door was always open.
I remember fondly her class singing as she played piano. She also passed on her gift for crafts, an expert with the cross stitch.
As a staff we all loved her famous coffee cake.
A true lady. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam

So sorry to learn of the death of Betty. My sister Nuala and herself were longtime friends from their days in Carysfort Training College and they taught together in the Holy Faith in Finglas for all their teaching careers. Indeed the three of us shared a flat in Norfolk Road ‘back in the day’ which I remember fondly. Sincere sympathy to William on the loss of Betty - may she rest in the peace of Heaven which she so richly deserves. Mona Reidy

Sincere condolences, William, on the passing of your aunt, Betty. I have known Betty since I joined the staff of St. Brigid's Senior Girls' School, Finglas in 1968. As her health deteriorated in recent years, she overcame each setback with fortitude and positivity, and continued to meet up with retired St. Brigid's staff at their monthly get-togethers in the Botanic gardens.
With fond memories of Betty since schooldays in Presentation Convent Secondary School, Thurles, and of lively class reunions in relatively recent years, I send sincere sympathy to Bridget and William, as well as all who mourn for Betty. Go dtuga Dia suaimhneas síoraí di.
