Dear Christy, Fiona, Moira, Niamh, John, Brian, Aidan and Ronan, I am shocked and saddened to hear of your loss.
This is the hardest of blows and I feel for each of you and the extended family.
I have such good, happy memories of Betty and always felt welcome in her home in Kilmacud and in Ballymackeamore.
Betty was the best of women - kind, intelligent, generous, a homemaker and witty, funny and fun. She was as young as any of us and often had more energy than us too.
She was one in a million.

We are heartbroken at the passing of our wonderful next-door neighbourhood Betty. Never once complained or batted an eye lid when a million footballs landed in her garden from across the wall and would always reward us with a choice of ice-cream when we went to retrieve them. Such an amazing family friend. We will miss you Betty. Xxxx

Ironically Christy Dixon, very recently deceased, who was remembered at Mass was a kind neighbour to Tom and Bridie in Baldoyle,
Faithfully delivering a copy of the Clare Champion to them.
