Very sorry to hear of this news, my sincere condolences to all the Murphy family.

My deepest sympathy to Jerry and to all the Murphys. I witnessed Betty in her role as a granny, and I know her beautiful grandkids will miss her terribly. She was wonderfully patient and encouraging, and had a large part to play in producing such avid readers.
Conor and David, this is such a hard time for you both, but as you eloquently displayed at the mass, you have many great memories to revisit.
We are thinking of you all and so looking forward to getting together this Christmas. Dad used to always say at Christmas lunch "Go mbeirimid beo ar an aim seo aris." It will be a different Christmas, but we can share our tears and memories together. All our love.

I worked with Betty on the board of Co Wicklow Volunteer Centre and remember her as a lady with a warm heart and a kind and friendly manner. Betty was a very active member of Bray Library over many years. She read very widely and often provided insightful and discerning critiques of the books which she had read.

For a lay person, Betty was extremely interested in all things Theology and the study of Scripture. She was also very involved in the Parish from being Minister of the Eucharist, to managing the Coffee Dock in the Little Flower Hall, and also looking after the book shop and all that that entailed. She saw the challenge of life and wanted everyone to live life to the full, in the words of St. Ignatius. She was very proud of her family, Gerry and the two boys, Conor and David. May she now rest in peace.

My deepest sympathy to all Betty's family at this time of such great loss. Betty was a wonderful person. I went to school with her years ago in Muckross and was very fond of her. You are all in my prayer.

Jerry and family my deepest sympathy to you on the death of Betty. Betty was a true lady such a hard worker for the community in Bray especially for the many voluntary organisations she was involved with. She was also a great teacher in St. Gerards junior school.
