Saddened to hear the news of Betty's passing - My codolences (and from all the Kearns family) to Adrienne & Garrett and extended family. She was very much part of the heartbeat of Ardbeg; and well loved amoung all her neighbours and friends both past and present. May she Rest in Peace.

I can still see Mrs Walsh walking across from her house to mine for the morning tea, biscuits/cake and a good chat with the other ladies of Ardbeg Park. What a lovely lady, great neighbor and great friend to Muriel. I usually bumped into her when I was back. She always asked how everyone was, and always ended with "Mind yourself". And I knew she genuinely meant it. She was a large part of the history of Ardbeg Park, all the births, deaths, marriages...and those great house parties from the 70s/80s. I have a fantastic picture of one of those - herself & Jim, Noel & Bernie, Fergus & Annette, Algie & Agnes, Denis & Maura, Johnnie & Eileen, Robbie & Miriam, Michael & Muriel, Bernard & Eileen, Norman & Mary, etc. Great parties, great people. RIP Mrs Walsh.

To Adrienne, Garrett, the Walsh and Foy families, my deepest sympathy. Betty came on the holidays that I arranged in Sicily and some in mainland Italy. She came with Muriel Dowling, May Kearns, Ann Kavanagh(R.I.P.) and myself. Footprints in the sand get washed away by the tide, but imprints on our hearts will live on forever. Another great neighbour gone from Ardbeg.

Betty was a wonderful mother and beautiful nanny. She loved her family so much, and they in turn loved and cared for her very much.

Over the last few years we got to enjoy her company at family gatherings, and we always looked forward to seeing her.
We are so sorry to hear of her passing.
