My sincere sympathy to the Carr and Berns Family, especially Carol and Mary and Gerry on the death of Dot and indeed on the earlier loss of Barney. I remember Dot working and chatting away in her hairdressing salon in the front room of her house in Woodlands Road - to my mother, both of my grandmothers and lots of neighbours. It was a mecca for some of the local women and it's where I learned what hairspray smelled like! I always enjoyed a chat with Dot when I met her, on the odd family occasion, as she radiated a real love for her family and was always interested to catch up on any news. She was a great people person and will be remembered fondly. May she rest in peace.
