It seems impossible to understand how someone that shone as brightly as Eliz could be gone from us. To all Eliz' family and friends - i am very sorry for your loss. As so many people have written here, I got to know Eliz through work when she supported us on the UCD Moore Centre for Business - we worked together to scope out the future of learning and internal consultation process, and she really gave us a great start and so much insight and ballast for the road. She was great fun, had a lot of vision and taught me a lot. I especially remember the day we went to tour Google together. I also vividly remember her talking about her siblings, nieces and nephews and music, and how much she loved her work. I was really sorry she left UCD but delighted that she was getting to shape the vision for Maynooth. I'm so sorry this was cut short. Isn't it striking how many people write here how much they enjoyed working with Eliz? Family takes many forms. Thank you for sharing the funeral on youtube i was touched to be able to watch it and will keep you and Eliz in my thoughts like so many here.

She was practical, kind, understanding and very helpful. A woman ahead of her time, who earned great respect without having to demand it. May she rest in peace. Know that she will never be forgotten. I had the great privilege of working with Eliz on Maynooth University’s Green Campus Committee, and most recently on the development of Maynooth University’s ‘Sustainable Agriculture Edible Garden project’. She was incredibly committed to making Maynooth campus a great place to learn, in promoting environmentally sustainable design and practice, and was particularly instrumental in the development of the garden project. Her untimely passing is a huge shock to us all, and we shall miss her dearly.
