I met Libby through the Early Textile Study Group Conference several decades ago. She was an excellent scholar and generous in sharing her research. Her passing is a great loss.
So sorry to hear about the passing of Libby . I have wonderful memories of Libby , great chats about life in Ireland. She was so kind and such an interesting lady . My sincere condolences to the family . May she rest in peace .
Sending my sympathy and warm wishes to you all. Natasha
I know how much you loved your mother, Nic. I am close to you, my dear friend. Now she lives inside your heart.
My condolences to the family and friends of Libby. As a friend and colleague of Libby's we spent much time chatting in the kitchen of Roseleigh, UCC. On one occasion, she was putting together her first publication along with photos and a discussion on her name, little did we realise how important her work would become. Her life's work was published recently, 'textiles of Ireland' is a magnificent tribute to her and her work. Many happy memories include our trip to Brittany and visits to Ballymore house with my daughter.
Remembering Libby and those she has left behind at this time. She was a lovely person in every way.
Dear Nick, Jo, Sophie and Lou, we were so sorry to hear about Libby's death in church on Sunday. We regret not having been in a position to say our goodbyes. Libby was clever and beautiful and she was supportive at a difficult time in my life. I did the drawing for her Viking's hat pack years ago. And I followed her to Ucc, where I taught for 23 years. much love to you all at this difficult time. May she rest in peace.

Dear family, I first met you mum at the vicarage in Wandsworth in 1982. It was summer and a lovely hot day, Libby drifted past in a swimming costume to sunbathe outside. I remember being struck by how beautiful and elegant she was. Your mother was beautiful inside as well and generously opened her home to us in Ireland for a holiday in the late 90s and always greeted me and the family with love. Forging a career later in her life with her interest in textiles was expiring. She will be missed by you all x
So sorry for your loss Lulu and your extended gang.

My deepest condolences to the friends and family of Libby Heckett. She was a truly kind and gracious lady, who gave me a home in Ballymore House when I immigrated to Ireland in 1986. She was always encouraging and positive, and made me feel very welcome in my new country. Although we had very little contact in the last years, I always held her in my heart as a good friend. She will be sadly missed.
What a great lady. Elegant, caring and refined. My short time with her when I was 13 years old still burns bright. On my visit to them I purchased The Beatles Sgt Pepper's albumn and we played it and tried to figure out the meaning in all the songs.
