We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Lilly, a truly beautiful soul and a central figure in the Village of Donnybrook. Lilly;s warm smile and genuine kindness, so evident in the lovely portrait above, brightened the lives of everyone who was fortunate enough to meet her. She had a remarkable gift for connecting with others—always stopping for a chat, sincerely asking how you were, and leaving you feeling uplifted by her warmth, compassion and grace.

Her loss leaves a deep void in our community, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May she find eternal peace reunited with her beloved husband, Danny.

May her gentle soul rest in peace, and may her doting family Jimmy, Ruth and Lorna, grand children, great-grandchildren, extended family, neighbours and friends (Thinking especially of her good friend Betty who will miss the friendship and companionship of Lilly), find comfort in the love and support of those around them during this difficult time. .

Ruth, I’m so sorry to hear the sad news of your lovely Mam Lily. You must be totally heartbroken. My own Mam and Dad (Bridie and Jackie Malone) had lovely memories of Lily and Dan. I remember Mam and Lily stopping to chat and laugh as I was brought to school on Haddington Road.
