I cannot put into words how sad and sorrful I feel for Liam, Pat, Eabha and John on Elizabeth's sudden passing on. I think of how Elizabeth would say hello to me with such friendly warmth that can only come from knowing she was loved by mam, dad, daughter and partner and whom she loved in return. Elizabeth was truly in love and it shone walking in and out of Yellow Meadows. Say a little prayer for all us who miss you so much and be happy in Paradise

The Things We Said Today

It’s so bloody good to see you, shame about the circumstances.
We don’t talk half enough, sometimes there’s no second chances.
I just saw her in the village, in the Victoria having a meal,
Sure wasn’t I only talking to her myself last week, I don’t know how to feel.
Remember when she left my brand new jacket on the bus,
I lost her hoopy birthday earrings, she never made a fuss.
The life and soul of every party, queen of every night,
When the news came through I almost dropped the phone down with the fright.
She was the one you wanted in your corner, always a true friend,
No matter what the revelations, loyal until the end.
I was only thinking of all the times we got ready for the rock,
Yeah, all glammed up, knee boots on, and a naggin in her sock.
I hadn’t seen her myself in years, then twice in the one day,
We went to see the Kings of Leon, and other gigs along the way,
She idolised that little girl, a total mini me,
Ah stop, I know, she loved him too, a gorgeous family.
She loved her make up and her style, without a smile I never did see,
And how she spoke about Molly jeans like they had their own personalities.
What happens now, how do we just go back to life like this,
Just promise me we’ll stay in touch and make up for the times we missed.
It’s so sad it took a tragedy to bring us back together,
All I know, and of this I’m sure, we’ll all be friends forever.

I cannot imagine the pain.

From school pals to dancefloor partners, you are apart of so many memories in my life.

You were always a delight to be around, always laughing, smiling, joking. I cannot believe that I am writing this.

There is a particular song, that throughout the years, every time I hear it, I think of you and laugh at us singing together and dancing.

Now, when I hear it albeit with a heavy heart- I will still smile but I will take a moment to think of your Éabha and say a little prayer of strength for her.
