So sad to hear of Liz's illness and death. My sincere condolences to all the family. I have fond memories of Liz's playing when she joined Concorde for concerts - always open minded, cheerful and committed. It was also a special pleasure to write a piece for the RIAM chamber orchestra under her direction years ago. May she rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of your dear Mum's untimely death, Erika. Her calm and gentle presence and her wonderful smile will be greatly missed.

Sincere condolences to Erika, Andrew and family. Aunty Lily was a beautiful person inside and out. She always kept in touch over the years and I loved our many chats about life and family. She once said to me I never knew just how beautiful England is and that meant so much to me having emigrated to the UK from Dublin as a young adult. She always had a kind word and I felt close to my Dad Padraic every time I spoke to her. Rest in peace Lily and thank you for being such a wonderful Aunt.

Rest in Peace aunty Lily. I remember how warm and kind you were to us whenever we would meet - always encouraging and interested in our lives. Sending condolences to Erika, Andrew and all the family, sad not to be there today but thinking of you all.

It was a privilege to have known Liz and to have had her on the staff of the RIAM while I was Director. I will never forget the joy of traveling with her and her Chamber Orchestra in the USA and Far East. Great musical memories and great fun too. She died as she had lived - with dignity and courage.

My deepest condolences to all of Liz’s family. Liz was an incredible woman who shared her talents with the students in the RIAM Chamber Orchestra, she travelled the world with us and shared her endless positivity and joy of music. It has been such an honour for me to have worked with Liz both as a student and as a colleague.

Liz was one of the most forthright and honest people I was lucky to have known. A generous and caring woman who treasured her family above all else, at the same time, she was a loyal friend to many. She leaves a wonderful legacy through her teaching and active involvement in classical music in Ireland. Liz will be sadly missed.

I had the pleasure of being a classmate of Lilian - as we called her - in St Louis Convent Balla 1966 - 71
Even then she was a wonderful musician on the violin ( she carried the school orchestra) and a great character - very strong minded and always her own person. I remember her with affection and feel great sadness that her life was cut short so soon.

I was so sorry to hear of Liz's untimely death.She was a person so calm and positive that it was always a pleasure to be in her company. Liz was an amazing woman with an extremely kind heart, she was very loving and worked hard for her family. I was best friends with her son Andrew when we were teenagers, as a member of the National Symphony Orchestra she was always very interested in the Music we listened to. One Day she played us Flight of the Bumblebee on the Viola, I'll never forget it, my jaw hung open for a week after. RIP Liz your were loving and kind and will be missed greatly, I wish I could be there, I can't but love from New Zealand Aroha.
