So very sorry on the passing of Elizabeth, I never met her but we exchanged Christmas Cards every year since Michael passed, he was a great friend of mine at the races. May she rest in peace.

I have fond memories of Mrs. Nolan as my teacher in Hedgestown in the early to mid 1980s. Only the other day I was passing by her house on my way to Balbriggan and I was thinking about her. My condolences to her family and friends. May she rest in peace.

I am so sorry to learn of your Mum's death. I have such fond memories of her from all the time I spent in your house as a child. Always so kind and welcoming and I loved her dry sense of humour!

I hope you have some comfort that she is now at peace and lived a long and fulfilling life. I am sorry that I missed the funeral but I am home next week. Take care.

The years spent teaching with Elizabeth in Hedgestown school were the happiest of times. She was a wonderful colleague and friend.I will remember her truly caring nature and all her encouragement. I will also remember her great sense of fun, her infectious laugh and her smile that lit up the room.

Our sincere condolences to Mrs Nolan’s family, she was the most amazing teacher from Jnr Infants up to 4th class for me and I have the fondest memories of her. She always remembered us over the years when you would meet her locally and loved updates on our lives. She inspired so many of us to do our best, even teaching us knitting at one stage, may she rest in peace.

We were very lucky pupils to have a genuinely dedicated first teacher, no one got left behind with Mrs Nolan.
