Mom had a happy, good life of 95 years with a theme of strong love, devotion, to ALL her children. Dad was a wise, wonderful, charming man; they were close. Although she lost her mom, she had a loving childhood, a special bond with siblings, Maureen,Kathleen,Michael&John. Following a stay at Johns Quay we moved to Dublin Rd, to “Glencar”, with O’Donovan’s, close by. When dad’s beloved mother died, Grandad Brian lived with us. Dad purchased Rose Hill & later converted it to hotel use. I worked closely with mom & dad, during teen years, summers, holidays, weekends. The hotel venture was dad’s vision; mom loved the operations. I followed Brian to Kieran’s College, a brilliant student, quiz team captain, on RTE, editor of College Mag. He graduated, youngest from College of Surgeons. Brian was never diagnosed as eulogized. His children, were close to family & granny. Deirdre was always close to Mom from youth to today, a constant loving confidante. Since retirement in 1970’s, mom & dad lived in Dalkey. After dad, mom moved to Terenure to be close to Aoife, Aoife & family were there 20 years for mom. Later, Eamonn moved in for 8 years, to aid mom. For Roxana & I, vacations were family visits to our beloved mom, dad & family. 2 years+ ago, Emer moved mom to Ranelagh for more intense home & professional care. In early 2020, Aoife offered to care for mom at Clonskeagh, also with professional & with Deirdre’s support stays. 95 years was not enough of my beautiful, adorable,devoted mom.

I remember in particular the sad occasion of my father’s death while we were staying with them in Spain and how kind and supportive they were to us and to my Mom. I remember Aunty Betty’s tears at the airport as we made our sad departure without our Dad but it’s nice now to picture the wonderful reunion they are all having in the next life. God looked around his garden and found an emty place. He then looked down upon earth and saw your loving face. He put his arm around you and lifted you to rest. His garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone. For part of us went with you on the day god called you home.

Place them in my Grandma's arms and tell her they're from me. Tell her I love her and miss her. And when she turns to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for a while.

Lets all remember the happy times and god will look after her up there Im sure of that.
