Dearest Tom , Violet, Charlie, Mary, Rob, extended family and dear friends .

I remember very well hearing in Ellen’s funeral that it was the thought of the months and times ahead that troubled you most. Nothing can help that imaginable pain. What I do want to say, is that despite the passing of time Ellen and her loved ones are in our thoughts every single day, multiple times a day and that will not change. You nor her will be forgotten and we send you love and strength every single day. Nothing we can say helps - but you are in our thoughts always and constantly. Photos are framed of her in our office and she will never be forgotten, nor will your suffering. Sending you love and strength in these many challenging days and times ahead. If not always visible, know it is there. Know also that this is done as a testament to the lady your daughter; sister; girlfriend ; friend ; family member ; beloved friend was. All the best. My heart is with you all as you remember and celebrate the incredible person Ellen was.

I feel so grateful to have shared special moments with her in Alvor — moments full of laughter, sunshine, and a real sense of joy. Ellen had a way of making people feel seen and included, and her warmth stayed with you long after she walked away. She was one of those rare people whose light truly touched everyone around her. The memories I have, though just a small part of her life, are ones I’ll always hold close.

My deepest condolences to Tom, Violet, Charlie, Mary and Rob. The only way I can describe Ellen is a literal ray of sunshine. She was one of the first girls I met through BIS in college and I will never forget the kindness and warmth she showed me on our first interaction. It was as if I knew her for a lifetime. She was an inspiration to us all, her outlook on life, her positivity and her ability to solve quite literally any problem any of us girls had no matter how big or small. I am so incredibly grateful to have had her in my life even if our time was cut short. She has forever changed the way I look at life and I can only hope our paths cross again in another lifetime 💛

Coming up with Ellen through primary and secondary school - it is unbelievable to even comprehend for us all. It is something that should never have happened- to someone so young it just does not seem fair.
