Dear Conrad and family,
Please accept our sincerest sympathies on the sad loss of your mother. What lovely memories were conjured up when I heard her name called out in Church recently. Your Mum was so talented. She made me a suit (or "costume" as they were called then!) when I finished school. It consisted of a jacket and two skirts of different styles. I remember clearly standing for my fittings in her sewing room. I wore that suit for my interview in Mary Immaculate college and again for my first teaching post in St. Mary's primary school, Cobh. It was often used in those early days of my career when formal dress was called for. Your mother was a lady. She and my mother were great friends and I remember the stimulating conversations they shared. Eileen was a guest at our wedding. She often passed our gate on her way home from Mass and we would stop and enjoy a chat, even after my own mother had passed away. She often spoke of you and Fianna with pride.
What a wonderfully long life she lived.
You were blessed to have her so long. May she be at peace now and I hope she has found her buddies with whom she can enjoy a good conversation. Leaba i measc na Naomh di.

My sincere condolences to Conrad and family. I remember your lovely mother telling me about you on the many occasions that I called to her in Cobh. She was the most wonderful dressmaker that I ever met. I have a red coat that she made for me in 1992 and I still wear it at Christmas time. I think of her every time I wear it. May she rest in peace.

Conrad fianna and girls I'm so sorry, Eileen was just brilliant. She was a great aunt full of fun and aways minding us .i have so many happy memories especially in tipp climbing mountains and brown bread and honey. We were so lucky to have her in our lives she will be missed by everyone and remembered with love.

Conrad, I am so sorry to hear of the death of your beautiful Mam. We have such lovely memories of her. She was a good friend of my late Mam and used to do a lot of her dress making.
