Nan, I don’t think that I can put all my feelings in words.
Thinking about you has brought up so many great memories. From the great food and the times playing around Nans with all of the family.
The greatest day of my life was when Lilla was born, it was your 70th birthday. It was only right that Lilla shared your name. Lilla Ellen May Baptiste.
You live on in all of us and we will be forever grateful.

Nan, where do I start?
I am so fortunate to have experienced such an amazing nan! You were one of a kind.
The many times me and the other, older grandchildren, spent with you in Handsworth were so, so special and they will never be forgotten.
You were the epitome of the perfect nan! I always felt safe, loved for, and cared for when I was with you❤️
An additional bonus was a nan who could rival Jamie Oliver with dishes whipped up completely from scratch (we’d always be asking for seconds!), whilst at the same time looking after the first (and very lively) set of grandchildren and maintaining a gigantic house - all whilst displaying perfectly manicured nails!
You are a nan who we shared many belly laughs and dances with, and one who could turn the air blue with your cursing whilst playing cards!!
Even prior to this week, I have always told my children, husband and friends how amazing my nan was and I am so thankful Kieran got to know you and that Steve has had the chance to share many times with you over the last twenty-one years.
More recently Hugo and Harrison have experienced ‘Nanny Ireland’ and I’m so appreciative of that, as you were and always will be very highly regarded and never forgotten in our home!
Now go rest nan and enjoy catching up with those you’ve so dearly missed.
