I first met Ellen some years ago when she travelled with the annual Cork & Ross Diocesan Lourdes Pilgrimage, as an assisted pilgrim ( due to ill health ) . It was a privilege and joy to have her in our midst , she had a gentle demeanour , inspirational faith , a great sense of humour and a beautiful smile that lit up her face . You’re in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time .
