Paul and family, it was with shock and sadness I learned of Ellen's passing. Ellen was a great work colleague and a wonderful friend. I have nothing but positive memories of the times we spent together and the laughs we had. Sometimes it really is too late to get back in touch. Gone far too soon. Rest in eternal peace dear Ellen x

A great Roche lady RIP Ellen.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Ellens death.I first met Ellen in Dundalk UDC 40 yrs ago & we maintained a friendship all those yrs, with endless conversation on the Arts,politics, current affairs,the GAA.We were never short of topics to discuss.We talked so much that once driving up a mountain in Spain to a restaurant,a little way up,we suddenly found ourselves amid the clouds,having passed the restaurant with all the chat & Ellens excellent driving brought us down the frightening hairpin road with ease! Ellen loved working for Local Authority as she had a strong civic spirit & compassion& empathy for the less fortunate in society.I could write all day about Ellen,her loyalty as a friend was beyond compare. Her wedding day,to Paul,was one of the happiest days of Ellens life.My heart goes out to him in his grief.She also adored her brothers and her neices& nephews & proudly talked about them with love& affection. Your loss is terrible.Rest in peace dear Ellen.

Ellen what a true lady she was. Great community leader too always helped everyone and done it with grace and patience and lots of laughter! She was the coach for Noamh Bríd comogie team and helped at Roche Emmets. scor na nog n youth club. Also.when community games came up.she be out to the house here you your playing in the basketball team tomorrow be there ....me ...eh yes !so she kept us all busy. etc and boy did we test her lol .
